Monitize Your Twitter Account With Be-A-Magpie

With Twitter becoming the quickest form of communication, it’s only natural for people to try to monetize it. Newcomer Be-A-Magpie tries to connect Twitter users with Advertisers to do just that. How does it stack up? Watch the video to find out!

Thanks for the video! Just a quick note on the hashtag, you can actually send it to the end, or turn it off, or set it to read something else.

Personally, I like having it right up front so it screams, “advertisement,” so my friends don’t think I’m really trying to get them to, “buy software downloads” or “search engine marketing.” (You can kind of see the level of advertiser in the quality of ads they run, can’t you?)

IMHO it’s a good idea, but unless they do better at getting quality ad purchasers, it won’t last.

Good to know about the hashtag, that must be a new feature since I tried out the service. And I agree about needing quality advertisers, almost all the ads they displayed on my account were for themselves.

  • Be-A-Magpie doesn’t seem to be working out at all. I’ve been using the program for just over four months now and have only seen up to 7 tweets from Magpie posted. I’ve also heard that advertisers are having problems with getting Tweets posted.

Consistency is the main issue with this program in my opinion. I think they should’ve waited a little longer before releasing Mapie to the publishers and instead got a group of advertisers first. That might’ve evened out the playing field.

Ive used this service and frankly its a real bad investment. Their targeting is extremely hopeless. They also don’t check on duplicate tweets, so Ive had the same person tweet my ad on 2 consecutive days and I had to pay twice to reach the same set of people. FYI, I can create fake profiles and follow a targeted set of users on twitter have about 50% of them follow me back and post my advert to them at $0 using my bot.

The reporting is an analytics eyewash and their customer support takes 3 days to reply.

If you ask me stay away and stop promoting this crappy site. You can make more money pushing affiliate offers to your followers.
